  Our sponsorship helps give a child: a nurturing and loving home in a family environment individualised care that supports the child’s development a supportive community with stable relationships education and training to prepare for the future access to health services and medical care support to prepare for an independent adult life 

  We are committed to working for and with children who have lost, or risk losing, parental care. These children are particularly vulnerable to suffering injustice and often miss out on their basic rights as children. The quality of childhood sets the stage for the future development of individuals and societies.  With 70 years of expertise in partnering with states to ensure that children’s rights are met, HFS is committed to taking action to contribute to building a sustainable future for children.  The following SDGs are central to our strategy and our everyday work to ensure that all children benefit from the SDGs.    Why we need children's rights   All children have equal rights to care and protection, and to live a healthy life free from abuse and harm. Happy Souls Foundation defends and promotes these rights for all children on a global, regional, and national level. We work with partners to improve laws, policies and practices so that each child and young person, and their families receive the care and support they need. By advocating to uphold their rights, all children can become their strongest selves. What are children's rights? Children’s rights are laid out in international, regional and national frameworks that establish the fundamental rights each child has. Children in alternative care are particularly vulnerable.
